Iranians stage anti-Israel rally
The Anti-Israel climate continues to grow around the Middle-East as Israel continues it's air and ground strikes in Gaza and the Lebanon. Is it only because they are "self-defending" against terrorist acts? Are Arabs just nuts? Bullshit!
Iraqi Sunnis seized amid killings
The "Civil War" in Iraq continues. And has continued for the past few years. But the United States stand firm, and say that, there is no Civil War in Iraq. In fact, I believe, Iraq is safer now, then it was before. The Iraqi people surely feel free from their dictator, but not free from going out... How many thousands of Iraqis have died since the US-led invasion? I wonder...
Indonesia death toll passes 500
Another Tsunami has affected the island of Java, killing more then 500 people. This is what the world should be focusing in. Trying to find ways to prevent deaths during Natural disasters. But no, we focus on oil and war. Building bigger and better weapons. Building new oil routes. Conquering new oil fields. Raising the world's dependence on oil. Destroying the Ozone Layer. Raising Pollution Levels. Helping the Climate change accelerate it's natural pace. In other words, fucking up the World.
Civil War legacy divides Spain
Spain "celebrates" 70 years since the start of the Civil War that affected the country before General Franco took over control of the country, starting about 40 years of fascist dictatorship. This was one of the worst pages in Spanish and European history, as thousands (or even up to a million) died during the three-years Civil War. A lot of countries including Portugal, France, Italy and Nazi led Germany, helped the rebels conquer Spain, while former USSR backed the democratically elected government. More here.
New aid for AU Darfur peace force
Despite fund raising activities by the international community to help end Darfur's massacre, it still continues. And it can get even worse, as the 7,000 African Union force is still unfunded and badly prepared for such a mission. Why doesn't Mr. Bush free the oppressed Sudanese too?

Comments
(1) You may or may not have noticed, but Middle East countries like Saudi Arabia and Jordan, that usually blame Israel by default, said the current crisis was caused by Hezbollah and that Israel's response was justified.
(2) They NYtimes reports that 14,000 Iraqi's have died in terrorist attacks or the war so far this year. However, that is still a lot less than the 48,000 Iraqi's killed per year by Saddam Hussein when he was in charge (and note that most of the 14,000 are being killed by people who presumably would like to have Saddam back in charge so they could resume their killing in a more discrete manner).
